Artist's Description

The moon rises under the lone tree at Doughton Park while the sun sets to the West. The park is in Alleghany County North Carolina and is on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Mountains to the Sea trail passes a few feet away. From this location you view both the sunset and moon rise if you time it correctly. copyrighted John Harmon 1994-2015
